William Oduro

Professor William Oduro is a wildlife ecologist and senior academic leader with over 35 years of experience in teaching, research, and international project coordination. The first PhD-trained wildlife scientist at KNUST, he has served as Head of Department, Dean of FRNR, Director of IRNR, and Dean of International Programmes. His scholarly output includes over 110 peer-reviewed papers, five books, and leadership of more than 45 national and international research projects across Africa, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. A Fellow of RCEES and awardee of the Smithsonian Institute, he has supervised over 250 graduate and undergraduate theses and consulted for UNEP, UNDP, GEF, DANIDA, CIDA, and UNESCO. He currently contributes to global capacity-building in sustainable natural resource management, leadership development, and higher education transformation.
