DAAD Gastprofessor an der Technischen Universität Berlin 2015-2016 und SRH - Hochschule Berlin 2017 - 2020. Seit September 2020 Vollzeitprofessor an der SRH Berlin University of Applied Science und Leiter des Masterstudiengangs Ingenieurwesen und International Business mit Schwerpunkt auf erneuerbaren Energien und der nachhaltigen Bewirtschaftung von Wasser und Abfall.

Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich Erneuerbare Energien und nachhaltige Entwicklung, Berufs- und Hochschulausbildung für Erneuerbare Energien, Hochschulmanagement, Informationsmanagement für Erneuerbare Energien, Entwicklung von Waste-to-Energy Systemen, Produktion von Biogas, Kraft-Wärme-Kopplung mit Bagasse, sowie die Integration erneuerbarer Energien in die Lebensmittelproduktion, Agrivoltaik-Systeme, Behandlung und Erhaltung von Wasserressourcen, Abfallrecycling, Lebenszyklusanalysen usw.
